Spartan WOD for Monday, 10.22.12

Sometimes it takes more courage and discipline to take an easy day or skip a workout.  The problem Spartans have with being so fiercely driven is that they are prime candidates for over-training.  Sometimes what is left out is the most central component in construction.

Recovery Day

25 jumping jacks

25 crunches

10-25 push ups

(repeat 2-3 times)

Optional:
Easy bike ride, 10 minute swim or jog

Try and find a yoga class!

Better pay heed to this recovery day because things are going to ramp up for the next three weeks!  If you have been looking to kick start your program just wait till tomorrow’s WOD where we will begin a three week build in intensity followed by a week designed to help you absorb the gains you’ll get in fitness.  This week we will start bringing you first installments part Spartan WODs that will illustrate for you the process of periodization and how to best use it.
