Spartan WOD for Monday, 9.3.12
It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.
- Joseph Campbell
If you trained hard this weekend, you should feel destroyed today. It’s OK – it’s good- it means you are pushing your body into greater levels of distress, which will force your body to adapt in a way that will make you a faster, stronger racer. This is how progressive overload works. It requires the recovery periods. What is an active recovery workout?
An active recovery workout should provide just enough cardio to get the blood flowing and maybe single set of bodyweight exercises focusing on a few key muscle groups.
Spartan Recovery WOD
