95 pound Thruster, 21 reps
800 meter run
95 pound Thruster, 21 reps
400 meter run
50 Pull-ups

He says:  “Get it done.”

It’s time to let everyone know that the world doesn’t quite allow you to do your WOD as scheduled.  Many a time I’ve been out training from 11pm to 2am (especially on Friday and Saturday nights).

NJ’s neighborhoods hated me as I would brake the tranquility of  a winter night, making their dog yap incessantly as I rock a 6 mile loop 3-4 times late into the morning hours.

Why should things change now for the 30 day challenge.  Out be out there tonight in the barnyard under the one light affixed up by the roof.

50 Pull-ups

400 meters

200 thrusters with fence posts

400 meters

200 lunges with log

400 meters
50 Pull-ups

I actually will do my chin ups in barn rafters Rocky IV style.

I’ll run 200 meters up Route 100, and 200 back.  (I’ve marked the spot on road before) Out here this is my track…a State Highway of sorts, scenic Route 100.

And yes, I’ve only got fence posts and logs to train with.  When I moved from NJ to a VT barn my life had to fit in my backseat.  A barbell set seemed impractical to include.  (She says: What?  I carry 15 lb. dumbbells in my trunk at all times!)

I’ll let you know how it goes time wise.  Important thing is to figure something out given your schedule.  I’m far from a professional athletes.  I wager anyone reading this is either.  We make WOD’s happen in our life, our life will hardly conform.  It’d be kinda sad if it did!

She says: “T-rex arms.  That’s all.”

I’ll break this sucker down by exercise just like it did me…

50 Pull-ups  I’m pretty aggressive with the pull-ups now.  I will get this locked down.
400 meter run I love the run – I actually get disappointed when I know it’s getting close to a lifting portion.  That tells me I need to get after the lifting but this party is pretty fun for me.
95 pound Thruster, 21 reps  Oooookay, just going to be real here… 95lbs is the standard for “The Daniel” but I did 65lbs.  I’ll get to 95, but in the meantime, 65 kicked my butt!
800 meter run  My happy place!
95 pound Thruster, 21 reps  This one hurt (and was also at the 65lb mark)!!!  Form was definitely a challenge to maintain at this point.
400 meter run  Thank you, baby Jesus.
50 Pull-ups  I literally stood staring at the bar for a good 60 seconds arms crossed head cocked to the side sizing up the bar.  I did three unassisted.  Yes, that says three.  At that point, I finished the set but they were assisted.  When I was done, I lay on the floor at the gym for ten minutes just hating my life (which is actually a pharse of endearment for me).  These WOD are ass kickers.  I love it.

PS – I made my own sandbag today and named her… keeping you in suspense until tomorrow.

Soundtrack: “I’m on Fire” the John Mayer version (personally, I think JM is kinda douchey, but I freaking love this song and  how it sets my cadence when I cycle.)
